Which TV has the lowest energy consumption for 32 inch size TV.

Can my plasma TV be using this much energy?
I used to have a 32" Toshiba TV (not flatscreen or anything, just a regular old TV). In July, I got a 50" Samsung plasma TV - it is 1080p x 600 hz. However, ever since I got the plasma, my energy bill has went up $20 a month! My family watches it one to two hours a day total at most. Could there be a glitch with my TV (causing it to use a lot of electricity), or do plasma TVs cost this much?
No...a plasma TV that size will not make your bill go up that much! I would expect your electric bill to go up about $2 a month going from a 32" CRT TV to a 50" Plasma! There is NO way a 50" Plasma TV will use $20 more a month in electricity! It's just not possible! Most likely, the cost of your electricity went up or something else in your house is consuming more electricity! Possibly heating? Call up your energy provider if you need to get to the bottom of this! Good luck!
Does a new flat screen tv save me money on energy?
We just bought a flat screen sony, 32 INCH, it says energy saver too btw. Our previous tv weighed about 200 pounds..... 36 inch... pretty old. How much do you estimate wed save on our electric bill a month with this change?
Yes. The savings on a new TV usage against older sets will save you money - it operates about the same as 200-250w light bulb with 1-2w only on stand by. The overall TV/Computer/Laptop running costs are so low - whether new or old - its not a threat to your electric bill - your talking 'pennies' per hour.
How to get 32 inch LG TV to turn off itself?
I recently purchased several 32LG30DC tvs for my hotel rooms. As you all know customers tend to leave the television on when they leave the room. Is there any way to program the tv so that it will turn off automatically after a certain period of standby time? This will save energy as well as enhance the life of the tv.
--- and upset your customers that are watching a program and have the TV turn off.
